Hours of rehearsing, carefully selected costumes and faces beaming with smiles, hid the nerves for our young soloists. It was the first of the solo competitions for 2018 and for some their first ever.
The Flawless Eisteddfod for Under 10’s and 12’s was held on Saturday 29 April 2018
Penni, showed who runs the world in the Under 10’s Jazz section, taking home 1st place. Our little star shone so bright and really left it all on the dance floor. In another Beyoncé song, Penni went from the pizazz in her jazz routine to pure strength and grace in under 10 lyrical.
Despite this being her first competition, Mikayla nailed her hip hop performance leaving her cheer squad gobsmacked.
Competing in the same section, Kamryn and Mikayla couldn’t be split by the judges in the Under 12’s Lyrical. Such beautiful performances from both , watch out fellow competitors these girls will be a force to be reckoned with.
Scarlett brought the attitude in her hip hop routine placing 2nd in the under 10’s section only to show her softer more graceful style in lyrical.
The one thing about these 4 amazing dancers that the Vibz family are so very proud of is your sportsmanship. Despite competing against each other there was a real bond between these dancers, something that cannot be taught. You cheered and supported each other the entire day. Take a bow, you deserve it.
